This year, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Portland, Oregon Branch will celebrate 100 years of service to the Pacific Northwest. The NAACP plans to remember the past, celebrate its history, and begin the next 100 years furthering its mission.
Unit 1120 has restored and revamped their efforts to bring people of color awareness to the concerns and involvement in the Portland community. Economic empowerment, racial profiling, educational opportunities and affordable housing headlines the Unit area of focus.
